At the parish meetings residents have raised concern about road safety and therefore the Chair’s Advisory Committee are working on several projects to improve the safety for all road users in the parish. However, A Parish meeting has only limited powers and these have to be specifically given to them by statute, and a Parish Meeting has no power to deal with highway or road safety matters, therefore we can not raise funds through the precept. Therefore, we need to find alternative sources of funding for any projects.
